The people of Upis,who elaborate over 150 scarves and shawls to month to offer the market Cusco and create jobs promoting tourism. The scarves and shawls are made with fine finishes by the people that make up the association Pachamama Raymi, in craft shops and district agricultural fairs and Urcos Ocongate in Cusco, in order to earn income and generate more jobs. This methodology Pachamama Raymi directed by William Van Immerzel, winner of Integration 2010, which promotes the eradication of poverty in various communities of Cusco.
