1 day.- ARRIVAL TO PERU Arrival at Lima, transfer to Hotel Posada del Inca in Miraflores

2 day.- LIMA / PARACAS We will travel 280 km south along the Panamerican highway along the desert coast through fertile irrigated valleys where farmers grow cotton, asparagus, and other crops. In the afternoon we will visit Paracas National Park, which was once home to the culture of the same name, seeing one of the world's most beautiful desert landscapes and visiting the small fishing ports of the area. The park is the natural habitat of seals, pelicans, seagulls and many other species. Transfer to hotel.

5 day.- NAZCA / AREQUIPA. We will have the opportunity to fly over the famous Nazca lines on an optional excursion before driving almost 600 kilometres south to Arequipa. After 6 or 7 hours we will begin to climb up into the foothills of the Andes to Arequipa at 2,400 metres above sea level. Transfer to hotel

6 day.- AREQUIPA / JULIACA / PUNO. In the morning we will tour Peru's third largest city visiting the Santa Catalina convent, the cathedral, the Jesuit church and the modern city surrounded by fertile fields hemmed in by the high desert and the Andes. That afternoon we return to Arequipa airport for our flight to Juliaca, from where we will be transferred to our hotel in Puno.

7 day.- UROS / SILLUSTANI. In the early morning we will board the vessel that will take us across the highest sailable lake in the world to visit the floating Uros islands. After this 2 hour tour we will head north to the famous pre-Inca burial towers at Sillustani on the edge of Lake Umayo. From there we will return to our hotel in Puno.

9 day.- CUSCO CITY TOUR and four ruins In the morning we will visit the famous Inca capital, seeing its colonial churches and Inca remains like Koricancha, the temple of the sun. We will also go on foot to the San Blas district to visit its famous craft shops. In the afternoon we will visit the ruins of Sacsayhuamán, Q'enko, Puka Pukara and Tambo Machay, before returning to our hotel in the evening.

10 day.- SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS In the morning we will travel by private bus to one of the most famous natural and archaeological attractions in Peru, the Sacred Valley of the Incas. After a 30 kilometers drive we arrive at the colourful Andean market of Pisac. Here we will also visit the Inca ruins high above the village. In the afternoon we will continue 45 kilometres along the valley to the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo, before returning to our hotel in Urubamba.

11 day.- URUBAMBA / MACHUPICCHU OVERNIGHT. In the morning we will return to Ollantaytambo from where we will take the train to Machu Picchu. We will visit this magnificent citadel in the company of an expert guide before returning to Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night at a local hotel.

12 day.- MACHUPICCHU / CUSCO. This is a free day for individual exploration of Machu Picchu or an optional short trek to Inti Puncu (the Sun Gate which is the entrance to Machu Picchu), and an ascent of Wayna Picchu. That afternoon we will return by train to Cusco. Transfer to hotel.

14 day.- CUSCO FREE DAY A day for exploring Cusco.

15 day.- CUSCO / LIMA CITY AND GOLD MUSEUM Early in the morning we will be transferred to Cusco airport for our flight to Peru's capital, Lima. Our tour through historic and modern Lima will take us to the Cathedral, San Francisco church and the Gold Museum. Transfer to airport.
