1 day.- ARRIVAL TO PERU Arrival at Lima Transfer to hotel.
2 day.- LIMA AREQUIPA In the early morning we will board a vehicle that will take us to Lima airport for our flight to Arequipa, Peru's second largest city. After transferring to our hotel we will visit the colonial centre of the city, including the Santa Catalina convent, the cathedral, the Jesuit church and also the modern city, surrounded by green fields hemmed in by the high desert and the Andes. In the afternoon we will be able to enjoy some free time

3 day.- AREQUIPA / PUNO and four ruins tour In the early morning we will be transferred to Arequipa airport for our flight to the ancient Inca capital (3,280 metres). Arriving at our hotel, we will have some time to rest before beginning a tour of Cusco. We will wander through its narrow streets seeing its Inca and colonial buildings, including Koricancha, the Inca temple of the sun and the San Blas neighbourhood, which is famous for its craftsmen. In the afternoon we will visit Sacsayhuamán and the ruins of Q'enko, Puka Pukara and Tambo Machay, before returning to our hotel. |

4 day.- SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS OVERNIGHT URUBAMBA In the morning we will travel by private bus to one of the most famous natural and archaeological attractions in Peru, the Sacred Valley of the Incas. After a 30 kilometres drive we arrive at Pisac to visit its colourful Andean market. From there we will also visit the Inca ruins of Pisac high above the village. That afternoon we will drive a further 45 kilometres to the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo before returning to our hotel in Urubamba. |
5 day.- URUBAMBA / MACHUPICCHU / CUSCO In the morning we will travel by private bus to the Ollantaytambo station from where we will travel by train to Machu Picchu. We will visit the site with an expert guide before having time to explore the ruins individually. That afternoon we will return to Cusco by train. Transfer to Hotel. |
6 day.- CUSCO / PUNO In the early morning we will board the tourist bus that will take us to Puno, 360 kilometres away. Travelling through valleys and gorges to the high pass at La Raya (4,318 metres above sea level), from where we will descend through small villages across the high plateau that was once home to pre-Inca cultures like the Aymara, Pukara and Tiwanaku. We arrive in Puno in the late afternoon. Transfer to hotel.

7 day.- PUNO/LIMA. In the morning we will board the vessel that will take us to the floating Uros islands. This tour lasts about two hours. Returning to Puno we will visit its attractions before leaving in the afternoon to drive north. On our way to Juliaca airport we will visit the famous necropolis of Sillustani to see its funerary towers on the shores of Lake Umayo. From there we will continue on to Juliaca airport for our flight to Lima.
8 day.- LIMA After a good rest we will visit the Peruvian capital, Lima the city of kings, seeing its cathedral, San Francisco church, its modern and colonial areas and the archaeological museusm. |
